Aarohi has been at this since 1992, longer than most of the words on this site have existed. From the hills above Nainital, it makes cold-processed soaps out of what the Kumaon Himalaya actually grows: GI-tagged Chyura butter (from the ‘Indian butter tree’), apricot kernels for scrub, oak charcoal, rhododendron.

Cold-processing is the patient way: no heat to strip the oils, weeks of curing instead. It suits an organisation that has spent three decades working with mountain communities and never hurried.

The soaps, lip balms, and natural fragrances are the visible surface of that long work. Buying one is the rare purchase that flows back uphill.
